The six members of the Bill Welch Band dedicate a seventh portion ("seventh member") of the proceeds of their CD's to a charitable fund in an effort to share the blessings that have been given them.

For 2000, the band chose H.O.P.E (Haiti Outreach Pwoje Espwa) as the 7th man. H.O.P.E is an outreach program that aids the economic development of Borgne, Haiti.
H.O.P.E has built a medical clinic and installed a water purification system. These projects are helping to improve the quality of life for the residents of Borgne, Haiti.
Other beneficiaries of the 7th man fund include Rochester's Puerto Rican Youth Development, Hillside Children's Foundation, and Spiritus Christi Church's Family Ministry. See News for more information.
